El Gregoe's Magic Show

Today NBC had a special visitor come to perform magic, his name is El Gregoe. El Gregoe has been performing illusions with a message in schools all over Aotearoa for 22 years.

He came and spoke to us all about how we have the power to stop bullying. The key message of the show was for us to be caring, respectful, responsible, accepting and trustworthy. El Gregoe explained this through poems written by students and illusions. Some of the incredible illusions were making a dove appear from a painting, putting his hand through a mirror and his partner escaping chains and getting inside a locked box.

It was such an enjoyable experience and reminded us about how to use our WITS (Walk away, Ignore, Tell someone, Say stop). We certainly were amazed at how he performed the illusions and has inspired us to be magicians who care.

Some of us were lucky enough to be helpers in the show, Olivia, Beau and Lucas got the chance to be in the first magic show. See the photos below to see how they were as a magicians assistant.
