Ella's Paralympic mascot

This is my mascot. Her name is Yoko. She is from Japan. She was born in Tokyo and is in a wheelchair because she has cerebral palsy. She is a huge fan of the Paralympics and is cheering the athletes on! Yoko thinks she is good at this because she has determination, inspiration and courage. She believes in fairness and equality.

Yoko is a brave and inspirational girl who believes that everyone is equal and deserves a chance to take part in anything they want to. She is determined to make the athletes feel strong and courageous when competing in their different sports. She is yelling support for every Paralympin taking part regardless if they win or not. They are all winners to her!

  1. What a great Mascot you have created Ella. I love that Yoko encourages all of the athletes regardless if they win or not. What a great attitude to have, as everyone deserves encouragement don't they.

  2. Kia Ora Ella, you have explained really clearly about why your mascot is a good representative for the athletes, I like how you came up with examples of how she represents Paralympians and the values of the Paralympics.
