Jamie's information report

 ELEPHANT’S

BY JAMIE TAIT.

There are three species of elephants. I have chosen the asian elephants.hear is a picture of  asian elephants.

         Asian Elephants

Sometimes asian elephants can get really angry. But they're  mostly calm. Asian elephants can grow up to 3 metres tall and  nearly 5000 kilograms! THAT’S HEAVIER THEN 2 CARS!!!!!!!!!!!

asian elephants are big, strong and powerful mammals. THERE SO POWERFUL THEY CAN KNOCK DOWN A HOLE TREE!!!!!!

Asian elephants are social animals. They live in large herds, made up of females and baby elephants. Males leave the herd when they become teenagers and live in smaller herds where adult males live by themselves. Elephants can show emotions, and copy and play. They also get very sad when another elephant gets killed.

Ther skin colour is grey but sometimes camouflaged by dirt and dust.
Asian elephants are smaller, have shorter tusks and smaller ears than African elephants.
asian elephants are mostly scared and nervous of humans.

I like asian elephants.Do you?

  1. Morena Jamie,
Well done on your report. I like how you have grouped your ideas into paragraphs. You have chosen interesting information and put it in your own words. Next time check details like having a capital letter at the beginning of your sentence. What are the other two species of elephants?

  3. Kia Ora Jamie, you have put a lot of effort into your report and have a lot of facts. I can hear your personal voice in this report. What other animals would you write a report on?

What a fantastic report on elephants. I learnt some great facts from your report, I didn't know that Asian elephants are smaller than African elephants. Where did you find all these facts about elephants Jamie?
